Bethany C. Meyers Instagram – Okay here’s the pup update that I’ve been hoping to share for 17 months. Kilmer and Sun have finally had a breakthrough!
When we had Kilmer Dove we had two baby-hating chihuahuas living in our house and once Kils started crawling (very early I might add) I was a stress mess trying to keep the dogs and baby separate. Nico worked with them a ton but it never got easy and I started to consider adoption because it was getting harder and harder to keep our baby safe.
Our older dog, Papa, passed away a few months ago, leaving us with just our little teacup, Sun. And I don’t know if her being the only dog made her less jealous, or if all the work Nico has done finally started to pay off or if she just started loving Kilmer bc KD sneaks her snacks on the reg, but look at them!!!
It’s not perfect and Sun will sometimes get a little snippy but more just to claim space, not to attack. Kilmer has been practicing being gentle with all living things especially her pets and I’m starting to feel hopeful they’ll be little besties.
