Just. Wow. What an amazing evening with incredible people. Hundreds came from far and wide (I think we worked out the furthest was Germany), and the energy was incredible. It was an amazing two days of stage shows, culture, great food and people. Alfie didn’t want to come home. I’d never done Fringe before, but we loved it. However… Fringe please do better with reaching out to minority community audiences, cos bwoy… it was a melanin desert. When you surround your children with family and friends who hold them in their hearts too, amazing things happen. My 15 year old nephew launched his EP “Hear Me” last night accompanied by this video. And the love we all had for him in that room was so deep, it’s hard to find the words. From acting in Disney films, to appearing on The Voice, to now song-writing… whatever this boy turns his hand to just makes his star shine even brighter, and us even prouder. I burst into tears when I saw her (she’s the lady at the end of the reel).
