Hello from the Peak District, where I’ve been staying for a few days in this beautiful bed and breakfast with a perfect English Garden called ‘Fischer’s Baslow Hall’ (although in my head I call it Toad Hall). We’re exploring the surrounding area as well as working on a few projects near and dear to my period-drama loving heart. If you know the area, I think you’ll have a fairly good idea what has drawn me specifically here (hint, he owns the miserable half) but truly this is a trip that has been on my mind for years.
We’ve rented a car to get around, and will be seeing plenty of the surrounding area (including a trip into London) as well as driving briefly into Scotland to tick off a few more dream visits (possibly TV and movie themed). I’m so excited to get to do this, and though my heart has been a bit heavy lately, it already feels lighter here. 🤍
