We are a few weeks away from opening the doors to @here_bkk our casual modern Indian breakfast canteen by day and wine bar by night. Housed on the lower floor of what will be the future home of @restaurant_gaa, “HERE” will offer Indian food which is wholesome, nutritious and packed with flavour! The kind I grew up eating. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did putting it together. While we are working hard in the kitchen on a smashing food and drinks menu...you stay tuned for more updates!

INGREDIENT  Rampe (Pandan Leaves}

⚓Right from pre-historic times the south of India has had many cultural and culinary exchanges with South East Asia through trade.

🍜Not just food & ingredients, but the exchange of ideas, cooking techniques and utensils also took place. This exchange is reflected in language where similar words for relating dishes/ingredients are used across these countries.

🌿One example is that of the Pandan leaf. Around the town of Kayalpattinam, Pandan, known as Rampe is cooked with in many dishes.
