Gauhar Come witness this incredible story of an incredible personality. The first Indian artist to have her voice recorded on a wax record. She wrote, composed and sang her own songs in the early 19th century. Broke so many glass ceilings and was a true badass in every sense. What a privilege it is to get to play her! Thanks to our gracious producers @ameygosavi and @gandhaar_ , the first few days of ‘Thakishi Samvaad’ rehearsals happened at @companytheatre workspace in Kamshet. Calm, beautiful, next to a water body, with great people to take care of you and great food! What more does one need? Couldn’t have asked for a better space to begin this journey. While we worked on the play we also did some allied reading, watched documentaries, read some more, went kayaking, walked, looked at the stars and left Kamshet with our hearts full! We are going to perform the 19th and 20th show of this very play on the 27th and 28th of July at The Box (@the_box_pune ). Do come and watch! Ticket link is in my bio 🫶🏼
