what’s happening here you ask? well, a lot… what’s with the glove? well, you’ll see. but rest assured @alanritchson and I are definitely not here to perform surgery on anybody. for now. what we are here to do is race each other down a hospital corridor at full speed 23.000 times wearing two layers of clothing and combat boots. guess who won? 😏 certain people may or may not have been hurt in the process, certainly not any of the camera crew sitting on the camera rig we were chasing, but probably more likely me, hence why this scene also required an impromptu hallway handstand inversion stretch. the hallway handstand is not featured in episode seven – to my chagrin – but many other precarious things are. watch new @reacherprimevideo tonight – it’s a gnarly one 👀

ohhhh Nicaragua
rolling on the big horn river 🌊
fun fact: the oldest city in all of the Americas also happens to have the best passionfruit cheesecake you’ll ever find. also scorched churches that stand the test of time, a young women’s art for education program, two active volcanos and a lake with a boat that goes to an island where tropic birds chirp, honeybees hum, monkeys howl and mangoes fall from the trees throughout the day, until magic sunsets make way for lightning storms flickering in the distance. A for effort to the bullet ant that tried to take me out with a not so subtle boob attack, but that didn’t stop me. the jungle glow was achieved. gracias Nicaragua 🇳🇮 te necesité.

this @reacherprimevideo episode is one of favorite of the season. this little heart to heart is one of my favorite scenes. episode seven out now on @primevideo
hello summer 🤎
guess what I did today? I early voted! and then went horseback riding, but that’s not what we’re here to talk about. I am not going to be home for my primary election, so I opted to vote early. I just went to the courthouse, filled out a form, showed my ID and got my ballot. this goes for the general election on November 5th too! many states and counties offer early voting and absentee mail-in voting so even if you’re gonna be unavailable on Election Day, YOU CAN STILL VOTE. go to www.vote.org for your state’s information. I know we all keep hearing how these are historic and unprecedented times, but this election really is historic and unprecedented. so many basic rights and freedoms are up for grabs these days. women’s reproductive rights. regulation of the financial sector. anti-trust legislation. basic decent rhetoric. racism. unfettered human rights violations… don’t complain about the state of things if you are not going to try to help change it. the one little thing you can do to let your voice be heard is to VOTE. 🇺🇸🙏🏽💙 (I’ll repost this in November)

spent 120 miles off grid on horseback in the Masai Mara getting chased by an angry elephant, riding up on a few lions, crossing a hippo and crocodile-infested river, cantering with giraffes and wildebeests, chasing a lion out of camp, watching magic sundowners and having many a great laugh in beautiful company around the fireplace before falling asleep listening to the hippos and hyenas argue about who can make the most night noise. spoiler: the hippos always win. thank you @offbeatsafaris for a truly magical time. bush life is the best life. asante sana Kenya 🇰🇪

get outside. breathe fresh air. maybe get wet. your soul will thank you for it.
cowboy • derived from the Spanish word ‘vaquero’ in the 1500s in Mexico, and introduced in the US in the 1700s when ranching made its way into American culture. Historians estimate 1 in 4 cowboys in the US in the 19th century were black. Before the Civil War, slaves were used to tend cattle. After the Civil War, it was one of the few paid jobs that black people were allowed to do. Because the help was needed. Though racism, discrimination and patriarchy have always permeated American culture, what I love about cowboy culture is that the horse is the great equalizer, transcending both race and gender. No matter where you’re from, what you look like or what language you speak, every cowboy speaks ‘horse’. So long as you can ride accordingly. I was obsessed with westerns growing up, but I yearned to see myself reflected in these stories because I felt like my spirit was already a part of them. Yet when we look at film and tv and media, black cowboys are still significantly underrepresented through the narratives of the American West. (I’m working on it, trust me.) While I am, who else thinks it would be cool if @stetsonusa did a #BlackHistoryMonth campaign to celebrate #BlackCowboys ? Me and my 150th Anniversary Edition Stratoliner Caribou Stetson think so. Just saying. #itsastetson
