Ready and very able to serve since the 1980s. A #tbt, @KamalaHarris edition.
Onward!
It was wonderful to see so many old friends yesterday as we celebrated Sheila Jackson Lee’s incredible life with her family, loved ones, and former colleagues—including a woman who happens to be running for president. I will miss Sheila as a friend and as a colleague. I will miss her when we’re up for a tough fight and every time we celebrate a hard-won victory. We lost her too soon. We could use her voice now. But come next January, when our first woman president takes the oath of office, I’ll be thinking of Sheila. I’ll wonder what she’s wearing up in heaven, which magnificent long scarf she’s wrapped around herself, and which hairdo she’s managed to achieve for such a special occasion. I’ll be thinking of her and Shirley Chisholm and Barbara Jordan, and all the generations of women who helped to make that day possible because they never stopped believing.

Remember?
We trust women to make decisions about their own bodies.
“This sacred task of perfecting our union is not about me. It is about you.” I’m immeasurably proud of my friend and my president, @JoeBiden. Thank you for everything, Joe. Now let’s go save democracy.

We face two starkly different visions for the future.
Where do elected Republicans get the nerve?
America should have the best maternal and postpartum health care in the world.
Right now, one in three American women live in a state where abortion is restricted or outright banned. If Trump wins office again, it’ll be all of us.
