Happy Thanksgiving! Sending much love and appreciation ❤️
Thanks for all the Lez Bomb messages, they warm my heart. The project means so much to me because each member of the team became family as they depicted my own. We shot the film in my childhood home in fifteen days. So each Thanksgiving, going home for the holiday feels like returning to set (for better or worse) as the soundtrack of the holiday and my family comes to life.
I made such incredible friends on the project who continue to inspire me and bring so much joy. The collaboration was magic and a reminder of the alchemy in story and team.
The industry, like life, can be wildly unpredictable, with ups and downs and everything in between. But when you surround yourself with those who push you to expand and reach for your highest expression, make you laugh, push your buttons, and bring light to your life, the ride is beautiful, no matter the view.
We each hold the pen to our own life’s unfolding, with the capacity to tell a story with humor and heart.
Celebrate those you love. They’re the music of life and inspire and allow your story to unfold.

I’ve been thinking a lot about why I got into filmmaking. It was largely because my girlfriends were so funny, that I wanted to pick up a camera and capture the moment. I had this yearning to preserve a moment in time.
Life is a sequence of fleeting moments, endings, and new beginnings, and I often explore that sense of nostalgia through it all. My girlfriends and I have had ups and downs, we’ve lost people in our lives, we’ve started families, and careers. Through it all, our friendships have evolved, grown, transformed, but continue to be a foundation of support and love.
We’ve danced to “Like a Prayer,” more often than I can count. Every time the song ends I’m overwhelmed by the gratitude of having shared the moment with them all.
I’m endlessly grateful to my Ramsey girls who taught me how to look for funny moments, even during the tragic times, and continue to energize my storytelling journey with such varying point-of-views that keep me on my toes…and often laughing, with a grateful smile for their endless inspiration through the years.
