It was largely because my girlfriends were so funny, that I wanted to pick up a camera and capture the moment. I had this yearning to preserve a moment in time. Life is a sequence of fleeting moments, endings, and new beginnings, and I often explore that sense of nostalgia through it all. My girlfriends and I have had ups and downs, we’ve lost people in our lives, we’ve started families, and careers. Through it all, our friendships have evolved, grown, transformed, but continue to be a foundation of support and love. We’ve danced to “Like a Prayer,” more often than I can count. Every time the song ends I’m overwhelmed by the gratitude of having shared the moment with them all. I’m endlessly grateful to my Ramsey girls who taught me how to look for funny moments, even during the tragic times, and continue to energize my storytelling journey with such varying point-of-views that keep me on my toes…and often laughing, with a grateful smile for their endless inspiration through the years.
