July 30, 2024 :: SO MUCH love for München 🇩🇪 Food – Hofbräuhaus for a beer and Bavarian food, Mun Mun – Thai Cooking for an amazing crispy ducky curry, New Era Coffee & Bar for a franzbrotchen, Buon Appetito for meats and cheeses! Parks – I didn’t even scratch the surface of what’s available but I enjoyed walking through the English Garden and the Hofgarten. Haus der Kunst – Amazing museum space with rotating exhibitions. I got lucky and went on a day when it’s free after 16:00 (last Friday of the month)! My favorite piece was the oil paintings by Lilian Lijn. Olympiapark München – I’ve heard somewhere between 40,000-60,000 people gathered outside the stadium. Steve ventured over during a show to hang out with everyone and to capture the action!! I always leave these events feeling inspired by the participants’ incredible talent and passion. @mkghamburg The Space – An artist run temporary exhibition concept. The space was huge and filled with a lot of interesting work. And it was free entry! @thespace.city Food – We ate lots of delicious food! Saliba for Syrian, Mezedes for Greek, Restaurant Franziskaner for Bavarian and beer, Weingarten sechsundzwanzig for wine, Kaiyo for Japanese comfort food, and Pampa for a chill hang! July 3, 2024 :: Dublin is a blast 💥Some highlights: Howth – We took a bus into Howth and hiked down from the summit. The weather was gorgeous and the views were magnificent. Wrong day to wear long jeans though 😅 Loose Canon Cheese and Wine – Lovely wine bar with delicious cheeses. Sat here one afternoon and made some headway on my book. Frank’s – Another great wine bar with yummy food. The chicken was tender and crispy! Irish Whiskey Museum – Our guide, Matthew, was awesome. I loved learning about the history of Irish Whiskey, and how certain distilleries came to prominence. Dublin Castle – I was particularly in awe of the ceiling paintings in St. Patrick’s Hall! National Gallery of Ireland – A free gallery featuring a huge collection of art. Saw a painting from one of my favorites, Mark Rothko, too! Swiftie Steve – Steve got to see the show again and proudly sported his Swiftie hat 🫶 Green Day – An extra special treat. And WOW 🥹 Some highlights: Cabaret at the KitKat Club – Every cast member is committed and stunning. @rhea.norwood performing “Cabaret”made me cry. @tobyturps as emcee is fantastic. Kam and I couldn’t stop raving about the entire production on the way home. English National Ballet – Swan Lake in the round at the Royal Albert Hall was remarkable. Thank you Kam for the invite 🩰 Ducksoup – The food and wine here is so yumbo. I particularly liked the Swiss glass of red we had at the end of our meal. Serpentine Gallery – I really enjoyed this free gallery in Kensington Gardens. We had a little picnic after walking through the Yinka Shonibare CBE exhibition, “Suspended States”. Hyde Park – The weather was perfect for a bike ride through Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens ☀️ After hearing @wiffygriffy open for The Eras Tour at Wembley, I’m officially a fan!
