July 16, 2025 :: 2 national events later and I get to celebrate completing my 10th SEASON with Hollywood Vibe! 🎉✨🥳 I love reflecting on how much the event and the people have evolved since I first started, but at the same time how our core principles of what we do have always remained constant. We care deeply about the dancers, teachers, and studio owners that trust us enough to be a part of their dance journeys, and we strive to improve their experience year after year. This year @eugeniardzp and I launched an event called, “Pathways In Motion” in an effort to connect students with more post high school options. We aimed to include representatives from a wide variety of colleges, college dance teams, professional development programs, and casting agencies. Thanks to their support and generosity, this summer we were able to provide scholarships and awards valued close to 1 million dollars 😭 But beyond the monetary value, we are so excited that the kids could get a glimpse of what lies beyond their experience with convention and/or studio life. Congratulations to all the dancers that received invitations and/or scholarships! We are excited to keep growing the programming for you all! Ultimately, the season wouldn’t have been possible without the supportive and talented faculty, staff, and media team at @hollywoodvibe and @hollywooddancejamz . And it definitely wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing dance studios and dancers that come to our events. Biggest love to you ALL and see you in 2025-2026!! ♥️🕺💃 P.S Thank you @taylorbanks39 for loaning me your 2 beautiful dresses for the 2 galas. I’m trying to practice underconsumption, you know? #dance #danceconvention #hollywoodvibe #danceteacher #nationals #hollywoodinvitationals #sandiego #orlando

March 3, 2025 :: February came and went! I got a haircut, hosted a Super Bowl hang, and sadly couldn’t dance the entire month 🙅🏻♀️💃🏻Note: PG13 subject matter below 💁🏻♀️ Last month I completed a cycle of egg freezing which included 12 days of hormone injections and 2 weeks of recovery. My retrieval happened, poetically, on February 14 (Happy Valentine’s Day!). I was cleared to dance March 1 🙌 Fertility preservation, while extremely expensive, is a process that gives me hope for biological children in the future. After learning that fertility and egg quality decline exponentially after age 35, I knew I wanted to do a cycle (or two) of egg freezing. While I’ve never once questioned my path, as I sit just 3 weeks shy of turning 35 I know that being career driven for the last 17 years means I’ve put a lot of other life goals on hold. The journey was emotionally dynamic and I learned a ton about my fertility and reproductive health. I was so grateful for my doctors at @uclahealth and for resources like the @asawomanpodcast by @nataliecrawfordmd. I was especially grateful to my parents who drove down from the Bay Area to support me throughout the process. From cooking meals to facilitating my final intramuscular trigger injection (in the glute no less!), they were my greatest cheerleaders. Egg freezing isn’t for everyone, but hopefully by sharing a little piece of my journey it sheds light on a subject matter that I think is important to consider. As women, our biological clocks are an unavoidable reality. I’ve learned that the more information I have about my health and fertility, the better I can make decisions that align with my life goals ♥️ P.S. Peep the last photo for Baby Karen and Mama Judy 🐣 #february #eggfreezing #fertilitypreservation #oocytecryopreservation
