We are continuing our tradition where an Official Selection film sparks the idea for an entire panel. This year, however, we found a theme running throughout so many of our submissions, and we wanted to dig a little deeper by going wider. Yes, we are thrilled to have panelists from not one, not two, but five of our films join us on stage to kick off #SYSFF24 with an intimate and passionate discussion around the role that art plays in processing life. With our industry in a time of transition, we know that many of our filmmaking peers and collaborators are feeling uncertain about the future. However, the one thing we know for sure — every human being is creative. And we process our thoughts, feelings, and the world around us through art and story.
