This fireplace was yet another “silly solution,” as my daughter likes to call it, that @williamsonconstructionpgh and I came up with during the design process. I knew that this primary bath needed a fireplace that was level with the bathtub (…for ultimate cozy vibes). I just wasn’t exactly sure how to get there, but I had some sheets of copper that I purchased from a plumbing website a while back lying around, and they got my wheels turning! One idea led to another and another and another… and ultimately this is what we came up with! See slide eight for the part of the design process where I start to question if I have truly lost it this time!
… The real question is, why has no one designed a beautiful ventless fireplace insert yet?! And if you know of one… please do us all a favor and let us in on the secret — ASAP! I don’t think my heart can bear the sight of another sad faux log set.
Speaking of that, you’ll notice that we swapped out the faux log set that came with this insert for ceramic fireproof stones. I’ll link them out in my stories for all of you in case you’re interested.
