Marie Kondo Instagram – Every Mother’s Day, I like to pause and express my gratitude for the many mother figures who have loved me and supported me since childhood. Growing up, my mother, grandmother, and other wonderful women taught me how to live thoughtfully, joyfully, and fully. They made me who I am today.
Becoming a mother has also taught me more than I could have imagined. I’ve learned to slow down, embrace the unexpected, and celebrate the fact that perfection (or anything close to it) is elusive.
Watching my children reminds me that finding joy in the smallest things – the thrill of running fast, the awe of watching plants grow in our garden – makes life worth living. They exude joy! And they are a source of constant happiness and discovery.
I hope you get to spend some joyful moments this Mother’s Day with those you love, as well.
