Megan O’Brien Instagram – Happy Kidneyversary 🎉 🫘 💚 one year ago today I donated my left kidney to a stranger so my friend @margrette.mondillo could get a lifesaving organ. Thanks to @thenationalkidneyregistry’s program, my donation started a chain reaction and allowed for 4 people to get a kidney on that day. 🔄 In the past year, Margrette got her new kidney, got off dialysis, and we even got to celebrate her son’s 21st birthday together 🎉 As for me, life has been fuller than ever. I’ve run two marathons and my fastest time yet by 11 whole minutes finishing in 3rd place at the @eugenemarathon in 2:45🏃‍♀️. I feel privileged to have been apart of the miracle that is living organ donation/transplantation, and I encourage others to consider sharing their spare 💚🙏 Happy 1️⃣ year @margrette.mondillo ! You’re my sister forever 👯‍♀️
