The making ends meet, the taking new headshots at the hopes of booking new work even when you really can’t afford it, the belief in yourself even when it feels like you’re going crazy for staying in a business that feels like it’s sinking, the reminder that making art is for making art’s sake, for the JOY of it, not for the pay, cause there’s so little of that—the bookings are just a bonus.
