Sarah Lewis Instagram – I was thinking of when I first met Kamala Harris, we had landed in a photo shoot for Oprah’s Power List. (I was curating at MoMA and had just been put up for a position in Washington). Getting 20 women camera ready meant hours to talk while getting done up. I listened to hear, watched her, and learned from her. And I loved her converse (not pictured in this shot. Tyler Mitchell got that right years later).
