For example, when I’m walking I say one verse of it with every step. I don’t let my mind wander, I don’t have an empty mind. My mind is always doing something except when I’m meditating, one of the things I do is to clear my mind. The way I clear my mind is first by saying my mantra then it just disappears and I’m left with nothing, just emptiness, which is the ultimate state. I’ve been doing this for some time and it’s been very helpful for me.
