To my cherished supporters, As I see the vibrant photos and joyful faces from DragCon, a deep sense of longing wells up within me. I yearn to be there, amidst the glitter and glam, surrounded by the energy and love that only such a space can bring. I miss it all profoundly. I miss the electrifying meet and greets, the comfort of being home every few months, the certainty of tomorrow’s meal. Each glimpse of joy and celebration stirs a fire in me, pushing me to work ten times harder to reclaim my place. Witnessing the collaborations, the Love Ball, and other breathtaking shows ignites a spark in my heart. That’s where I aspire to be once more, basking in the glory of the stage, a Drag superstar in my element. The past six years have been a tumultuous journey. My biggest regret is the public unraveling of my struggles with gender identity and the hasty declarations about quitting drag. That news spread like wildfire, casting shadows that I still struggle to escape. Growing up in the hood instilled in me a fierce defensiveness, and I handled situations poorly. But I was young, just 24 when these revelations began. I was 26 when I stepped away from drag, 27 when I began my transition. Now at 30, I marvel at how swiftly time has flown. Yet, in finding and accepting myself, in rediscovering my love for the art of drag, the news was met with silence, not the celebration I had hoped for. I feel like I have stumbled terribly, and my stubborn nature has only compounded my mistakes. I am human, flawed and earnest, and it feels as though I am constantly paying for my past. I wish the journey to authenticity didn’t come with such a heavy price. I adore the life I’ve curated, but my soul yearns to be a drag superstar again, to perform, to feel the heat of the spotlight, and to travel the world. I miss it all so much. In my heart, I remain vulnerable and transparent with you, my supporters. I will forever be sorry for any words or actions that pushed you away. If I could, I would have navigated my struggles differently. Until then, all I can do is hope for a brighter, more understanding future. 💛

Hello All,
Ajá/Venus is a performance artist, runway model, spiritual leader and NY native. For over 10 years she has worked as an entertainer and her sustainability has relied on her body. Recently, she has had to spend time in and out of hospitals due to leg swelling and various other injuries. With expenses piling and being unable to perform as frequently, she’s switched to a part time day job and doing spiritual readings for some income. However this alone has not been enough to dig her out of the financial hole hospital visits and bills create.
This woman does so much for many communities – LGBTQ folk, people wanting to explore and seek spiritual guidance, the ballroom community and more. She has opened her heart, her home and mind to guide, entertain and help so many people. Now she needs help and although she’s a public figure with these enormous talents life is not perfect for anyone.
Attached below are ways to donate to her, please share this as much as possible and hopefully we can get her to a good place until she’s back up to 100% again.

PS (from Venus) I was in and out the hospital for 3 months straight and the medical people told me little to nothing, I am still dealing with really bad leg pain and what not which is why I have not been dancing or voguing much. I’ve been walking runway as a form of exercise still but sometimes I do feel pain still. I’m hoping to get answers soon but in all, the medical expenses and the travel to and from has been crazy on me as I am not working as much. Recently I have taken on a day job to rehabilitate my legs and keep things going however the debt from being in the hospital multiple times and seeing multiple specialists has been insane. I’m hoping my day job helps lighten the load as well. Any help is appreciated. Just trying to get back on track! I know I may seem like I’m living this life because social media but social media is not real life 🫶🏽

Who can ever forget the classic read, “You’re perfect, you’re beautiful, you look like Linda Evangelista, you’re a model!”? The shade is, that iconic read about how the judges of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” felt about one of their competitors is actually how we feel about her—our perfect, beautiful fashion model. The iconic International House of Mugler is bursting with pride as we congratulate the walking wonder, Aja Mugler ( @ajathekween ), on her phenomenal achievement of winning Femme Queen Runway “of the Year” at the Ballroom Awards Ball. We are endlessly proud of Aja’s accomplishments both on and off the runway, in and outside of Ballroom. Aja is a beloved favorite among her House brothers and sisters for being her authentic, supportive, and fun self—with just a touch of her classic light shade. We love you, Aja, and congratulations on this monumental achievement! Graphics by: @dchristianstudios / @itsdchristian

For those who may not know, I have the incredible honor of being the pre-show host for @opentoall.ent . 🎤 This weekly gig has been my passion for over a year, AND is held at 3 Dollar Bill in Brooklyn, NY, every Monday night at 11 PM sharp. 🔪 What makes this night so special is the breathtaking start with a variety of performances, from dazzling drag acts to sensational music and beyond. Then, the energy shifts into a mini ball, featuring legendary commentators from the ballroom scene. It’s the perfect gateway for anyone looking to experience the magic of ballroom while enjoying a spectacular show. ☺️ After taking a month off to attend to some personal matters, I’m thrilled to announce that I’m back tonight! I can’t wait to see all of you there. Enjoy this montage of my performances over the past year, and let’s make tonight unforgettable! 😘
Today is my Eku Odun! (Ocha Birthday) Another year of being an Olorisa! I ain’t got much to say! Life is amazing. Life is great. My passion and love for Orisa is always fortified. I am blessed to have a beautiful community of Olorisa and Elders behind me. As well we have amazing godkids who show up for myself and Oshun whenever possible. I have been able to create a space for people who have not been treated right by their original godparents, people seeking refuge in Orisa and people who are trying to gain access to their roots and culture can have access to Orisa without having to deal with the extraness and egotism many Olorisa tend to have. I guess not a lot of people are actually familiar with this particular hat that I tend to wear, as they may know more about the more frivolous and artistic hats I wear (being on tv, in ballroom, etc.) but If you don’t know I am a spiritual woman. 🪶💛
Oshun has given me everything I have ever wanted, needed and more! I have 0 complaints ever. With that being said, here’s to a day of Rubies, emerald and gold 😂 those who get that sentiment will enjoy it for sure 😏😘 today we celebrate Ibu Kole! You know I had to put my 11k runway wings on her!! If you are seeking education about Orisa never be afraid to reach out xo 💛
Bitch bye 😒
Happy Monday! See you tonight @opentoall.ent 💛✨

Oh wow! What a weekend! Maferefun Orisa! Maferefun Oshun! Maferefun Orisa Oko! 💛✨💫💙 Overflowing with gratitude and emotion, I proudly share that I have crowned my very first Ocha. This journey has affirmed my place within the sacred realm of Orisha, revealing profound growth and purpose. Special thanks to all the Iyalochas, Babalochas, and the Oba who contributed to this unforgettable experience. Your dedication made this weekend perfect. Kinkamashe to my crowning godparents for their foundational wisdom, which continues to guide me even though we are no longer together. Their teachings have equipped me well for this path. And Ibae to my first godmother Omi Lade, who I hope I am making proud as I carry on her legacy. Despite nobody being able to take on making the aprons, hats, gala or breakfast outfit, with the support of my goddaughter Pippi and my dear friend Angel I was able to make it happen. Of course, a special special things is due to my incredible Oya sister Nikita (aka the 3-titty drag queen 😭😹), we made it happen. I had only three months to crown my Iyawo, and one of those months was consumed by prior obligations. When no one could help with the aprons, hats, gala, and breakfast clothes, we took it upon ourselves. The completion of this sacred duty fills my heart with profound fulfillment. To my godchildren, your enthusiasm and dedication make me incredibly proud! For many of you, this was a first, and you surpassed all expectations. I am blessed to be part of a positive, uplifting community that embodies the spirit of Orisha. Now, time to focus on my next two, Obatala and Elegua. 🫶🏽 Oshun has given work to do and it’s my job to carry it out 💛✨
