This is your reminder that social media is a snapshot of a moment, not a summary of an entire identity. One of the questions, DM’s, comments etc that I receive the most are things along the lines of: “you’re always so vibrant!” “You don’t look chronically ill at all” “You don’t act autistic.” This is your gentle reminder that you never know what is going on behind the scenes; good or bad. You don’t know a persons whole journey; this is especially so when we see people in the spotlight that are disabled, neurodivergent and chronically ill. I am always disabled. I am always autistic. I am always chronically ill. The way that you outwardly perceive me (or anyone) doesn’t change that

A lil fun fact about me is that my biggest dream as a little girl was to become a prima ballerina. I was so horrendously awful at it however that I got kicked out of every dance school I attended ✨ Ballet is still something that ignites such excitement to my inner little Chloé, and it was truly an honour to attend the @ausballet world premiere of Oscar; if you are in Melbourne, please, do yourself a favour. It is truly remarkable. Skirt from @princesshighwayclothing Bag from: @cakeworthy Shoes from: @rocboots

I am so excited and so honoured to be an ambassador for @friend_in_me_ ‘s @unmasked_ball , enabling and supporting disabled and neurodivergent kiddos to make friends and connect, a struggle that is oh so common for disabled children. Growing up, friendship was something that I struggled so deeply with. My parents paid people to come to my birthday parties, I was the only child in my class not invited to other people’s parties, when I gave my one friend a friendship necklace she put it in the bin, a group of girls wrote me an evacuation notice from their friendship group, and on multiple occasions, girls pretended to by my friend as a prank (one time the pretend friendship ended with her calling me on the phone to rap a diss track she’d written about me bonus points for that one.) Friendship seemed as difficult and impossible as a mission to Mars. Friend in Me works to change that, ensuring these kids can find and form meaningful, neuroaffirmjng connections in safe environments 💛 PHOTOGRAPHY: @brettgoldsmith STYLIST: @titostyle_ HMUA: @stylistlanabarker @rinataran_makeup WEARING: @aleemyusufcouture

Self care: wearing clothes that are sensory friendly, tag free, invisible seams, insanely comfortable, breathable and ethically made Self love: all of this; but it’s actually clothes from your own clothing line 🙂↕️ We just did a mini restock, and have very exciting news to come about a brand new line of clothing we’re about to drop 💛 @chloehaydenshop
