Gabbi Tuft Instagram – Approximately 95% of all soy is genetically modified – and most mayonnaise uses soybean oil as their main ingredient.

Most of this is to ensure it’s resistant to glyphosate, a powerful herbicide. The International Agency for Research on Cancer concluded in 2015 that glyphosate was “probably carcinogenic.”

GMO soy typically has high levels of residual glyphosate as well, which is why I try to get as little soy in my nutrition as possible.

I did find a few wins that used avocado oil instead though!
