This morning Students Against the Occupation entered an administrative building of @university_of_copenhagen, that also houses the rector’s office, to demand an institutional academic boycott of israeli universities! We were joined by @gretathunberg, who was quickly arrested along with students. Climate activist tells Equinor CEO that he has stolen her future. This week the biggest oil conference in the world, ONS24, took place in Stavanger, Norway. 60.000 oil-lobbyists were gathered to celebrate the booming fossil fuel industry and spin their »green initiatives«. However, they were also joined by over a hundred climate activist from the Nordic countries, and when Equinor’s CEO Anders Opedal was about to join an informal podcast recording, Danish climate activist Lea Wiggen Kramhøft from @dengroenneungdomsbevaegelse confronted him with this heartbreaking speech. 

@equinor (formerly Statoil) is a giant partially state-owned company that produces 99% of its energy with fossil fuels – which made a staggering $10.4 billion profits last year. @gretathunberg
Meet the girls defending the future of the Amazon: @guerrerasxamazonia Despite the 2021 court ruling on an action brought by nine young climate activists to order the elimination of gas flaring, the Ecuadorian state continues to allow this harmful practice by the fossil fuel industry. The authorities have an obligation to act decisively and promptly to implement the ruling in the gas flares case. The government must grant reparations and restore rights lost due to decades of environmental impact.
XR Norge har full blokade av Kårstø oljeterminal, Europas største prosessanlegg for olje og gass. 8 kajakker og tre motorbåter padler nå inn i sikkerhetssonen for å hindre normal drift av tankskip. Innkjørslene til Kårstø på land er blokkert av folk i alle aldre, deriblant Greta Thunberg og Equinor ansatt Daniel Sollien. Aktivistene krever at politikerne lager og iverksetter en konkret plan for utfasing av olje og gass som gir forutsigbarhet for arbeiderne, bedrifter og hele befolkningen. «På tross av at jeg er veldig glad i jobben min, er jeg her fordi situasjonen er så alvorlig og altfor lite blir gjort. Jeg er bekymret for barna mine sin fremtid. Vi trenger at Equinor og politikerne lager en plan for utfasing av olje og gass nå, sier Equinor geolog Daniel Sollien. Jeg kan ikke lenger bare sitte på sidelinjen, jeg må handle.»
