Ten years ago, I was cast in my first-ever feature film. I was so nervous. I’m a lover of everything action movies and horror movies, and I knew the character of Medina got to have an axe and kill zombies! Sold! But I didn’t know much about heavy metal music…..
I came to learn that everything I thought I knew, was actually the complete opposite. My assumptions were flipped on their head almost immediately. While I initially thought it was a scary and intimidating genre with an equally intimidating fan base, I was quickly welcomed into one of the calmest, kindest, most inclusive groups of people, fans, and music ever! (Super generous, too.)
Now, ten years on, thanks to the amazing effort from fans around the globe, we’re back together and filming a sequel. As I sit in my hotel room, watching endless videos of Angela Gossow and Doro Pesch to prep for the week ahead, I wanted to say a little thank you to everyone who has made this sequel possible.
