📍 @deathgasm2 🤘🏼 Ten years ago, I was cast in my first-ever feature film. I was so nervous. I’m a lover of everything action movies and horror movies, and I knew the character of Medina got to have an axe and kill zombies! Sold! But I didn’t know much about heavy metal music….. I came to learn that everything I thought I knew, was actually the complete opposite. My assumptions were flipped on their head almost immediately. While I initially thought it was a scary and intimidating genre with an equally intimidating fan base, I was quickly welcomed into one of the calmest, kindest, most inclusive groups of people, fans, and music ever! (Super generous, too.) Now, ten years on, thanks to the amazing effort from fans around the globe, we’re back together and filming a sequel. As I sit in my hotel room, watching endless videos of Angela Gossow and Doro Pesch to prep for the week ahead, I wanted to say a little thank you to everyone who has made this sequel possible. A big thanks to the heavy metal fans and community who have not only embraced our little film from New Zealand but also us actors, who feel incredibly lucky to have been welcomed so warmly! 🤘🏼#metal #heavymetal #deathgasm

I got married to the most magical human this year in April—love you, Tom! @the__tomwalsh 2. I’m obsessed with animals of all kinds. I have bees, dogs, cats, and even a tarantula! 3. I’m an actress, and I absolutely love it. Acting makes me feel alive, creative, joyful, and like I’m truly following my purpose. 4. I study marine biology and had an incredible experience this year working on a research assignment during Shark Week. I came face to face with possibly the biggest great white shark recorded—or at least one of the biggest! @sharkweek 5. I’m an ambassador for SPCA and World Vision. This role allows me to work closely with both charities to make positive changes and raise funds and awareness for vulnerable communities and animals. @spcanz @worldvisionnz 6. I can’t cook. I’m definitely a morning person! I love trying new places @prettyromanticreviews 7. I have depression and anxiety, and I dedicate a lot of time to learning more about my condition and ways to manage or heal through my podcast, Pretty Depressed. @prettydepressed_ 8. I love adrenaline activities. I’m drawn to anything that makes me scared and tend to run towards those experiences. 9. Travel is my drug of choice. I love being on the move and split my time between LA, California, and Auckland, New Zealand. I’m also a dual citizen. 10. My core group is everything to me. I never wear eyeliner because I felt like I couldn’t quite get the line to look sleek, so I gave up trying in 2016, haha. But I saw a few videos pop up with clear step-by-steps and realized it’s all about the tools. So I decided to try the Nude By Nature Pro-Definition Eyeliner. I saw @rebekah.randell using some of these products last week, and since we look pretty similar, I was sold! Thank you, Bex (love you 🌸)! Tom and I went to Chemist Warehouse (aka my candy store 🍭) I still need more practice, but I’m actually surprised at how well I did! The smoothness of the eyeliner made it less clunky to apply. The mascara is also awesome and doesn’t imprint on my upper eyelid, which is a pet peeve of mine! 10/10 recommend. Look out for me totally rocking eyeliner from now on!
