I also passed a provision into law that provided $28.44 billion for the Highway Trust Fund to improve infrastructure in rural America.

I’m voting against the Surrender CR. We have the power of the purse, and we should use it. This CR continues massive spending at detrimental levels, keeps the Southern Border wide open for the criminals and fentanyl surging across it, and totally replenishes funds for weaponized federal agencies. If Republicans don’t like what this weaponized government is doing to the American people, then we shouldn’t fund them. It’s that simple. The SAVE Act is a good bill. I voted for it earlier this summer, but I will not go along with the out-of-control spending that is suffocating our nation.

Today, we honor the 80th anniversary of D-Day and the brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice on the shores of Normandy. Their efforts created a path to victory for the Allies that eventually ended the horrific atrocities being committed by Hitler and the Nazis.
