Lauren Liess Instagram – Before & after of the atmospheric little sitting area in one of my favorite bedrooms we’ve ever designed. (Swipe for before) That wall was just begging for a fireplace!! We wanted to introduce that little bit of curve/ romance in the fireplace into an otherwise straight/ square space. We had the windows enlarged and replaced crown molding with reclaimed beams. An antique soft brown velvet daybed keeps the view from the fireplace to the bed (opposite the firepace out of frame) open while providing the coziest reading/ napping spot. We love mixing it up at LLI and so the left fireplace chair is a traditional antique and the right is a modern sculptural MidCentury piece.
