THE THICKET will premiere and IN THE SUMMERS in competition!
I was so blessed to be a part of both of these films. Each made with SO much love, care, and meticulous intention. It’s funny, as I think of my shooting experiences for each, I’m realizing both of them were shot in polar opposite extreme weather conditions (below zero calgarian winter and triple digit new mexico summer). It may have been the biggest gift and lesson to witness cast crew persevere through that, among the other usual filmmaking obstacles, to make these works of art what they are! Witnessing how magical things can come from committing to the art through the hard parts is a lesson I’ll carry with me forever!
