Mona Chalabi Instagram – Apartheid isn’t just a system of explicitly racist rules. It functions by blurring those policies in confusing and frustrating ways. Since this list was published in May 2010, the rules change all the time for no apparent reason and they are no longer stated publicly (or even shared privately with international diplomats or aid agencies). Israeli apartheid has become even more oppressive.
This system is not designed to protect Israelis, it is designed to prevent Palestinians from having healthy, dignified and joyful lives (“biscuits and sweets” are not a security threat).
