MONSTERS The Lyle and Erik Mendez Story was an incredible set experince to be apart of. I could gush… I will gush.
From seeing the intricacies of the wardrobe team- building around their inspiration boards. To the fitting- and the millions of different collar options, down to right buttons..every detail mattered. Every detail should be period appropriate and serve the story.
That energy- and attention to detail was in every dept thereafter/ from makeup, curling the (thousands) of individual strands in the hair trailer, to shoes and belts.
The teamsters gluing the threads together and arriving on location to the entire crews masterpiece. An absolutely stunning display of light, props, art, world building and sound we got to play within.

Ugh. I love this work. Was so grateful for this scene, this puzzle piece to the bigger story.
Carl Franklin immediately created a safe and approachable set to be apart of. He was a joy to work with, as were my scene partners. There was a palpable life, thickness in the air that Nicholas Chavez and Cooper Koch built together, and within themselves individually. I’m so excited to see their work in the rest of the series.
