I remember falling asleep on my Dad’s lap as he watched the news. I remember the feel of his overalls under my cheek. What a gift it is to a child – that feeling of complete safety. To all the dads and father figures out there who create that feeling for a child: thank you. Happy Father’s Day. I miss my Dad every day, and every day I feel grateful for the love he showed us, and grateful I found a partner like that who can give that gift to our own children.
