This part of the trip was really moving for me because my Dad was obsessed with big cats, animals… the Serengeti in general. Anytime I went home he’d be watching natgeo, planet earth… I used to beg him to change the channel while we ate because I couldn’t handle seeing a lion rip out a gazelles rib cage while I ate pasta. Anyway. This part of the trip was to honor him and I like to think he finally got to see all these animals up close through me. And thankfully I didn’t have to witness any carnage so it’s win-win.
