A little vulnerable honesty: Interesting that after all the years in this business you are still only as good as your last booking. lol 😆
It doesn’t matter your merits or any level of success… you can be dismissed & forgotten in a flas. It’s hard not to take that personal- you need balls of steel, a good sense of self, and more meaning in your life than your last editorial, cover, or campaign. It’s something most people don’t consider in a 20 career… but it’s real in the fashion industry- for photographers, stylist, hair/makeup alike. Like many other entertainment industries.. film, sport, etc.- it’s short-lived. The fire burns hot and bright.
I think for me in the end what matters is not your merits, but your soul. 🙏🏻 We have to then ask ourselves; what is real success? What matters in the very end?
