It’s hard not to take that personal- you need balls of steel, a good sense of self, and more meaning in your life than your last editorial, cover, or campaign. It’s something most people don’t consider in a 20 career… but it’s real in the fashion industry- for photographers, stylist, hair/makeup alike. Like many other entertainment industries.. film, sport, etc.- it’s short-lived. The fire burns hot and bright. I have so much appreciation for all of the amazing opportunities. It’s beautiful to see the diversity with age, color, and size now being represented in fashion. For the past five years, I’ve been focusing, mostly on my passion work. Yoga, coaching, teaching, Dula work, and holding community space. This is the work that speaks to my heart. I am also deeply appreciate that my career of 20 years has allowed me to be of service for the last five years. Not to mention it has prepared me for all kinds of work. Traveling the world, being exposed to different cultures, different personalities, and the contrast have taught me so much. What it has taught me the most is to understand who I AM on the INSIDE. So much is judged and compared from the external. Yet it is so clear that everything is within us. We really cannot live our lives based on what other people think. We must follow our hearts. I’m excited to have a new team to bring opportunities in the industry with where I’m at in my life right now. Thank you for believing in me! I’m in the midst of signing contracts with European teams as well. This is what we came up with. The great New World is here! AI can be a great tool, it could also be used to destructively. I think it’s important to train our AI with responsibility.
