Who’s your favorite final girl?

Mine is Ripley! I’ve always loved final girls. Even though they are objectified and under estimated 9 times out of 10, they persevere in the face of death and come out on top. They’re also not fearless. I love Elizabeth Gilbert’s analogy that fear can be in the car but it can’t drive. Doing something when you’re scared takes so much strength.

You’re probably not fighting an alien or axe murderer, but we all have things we’re scared to do. I have found that when I push past fear and stop worrying about wether or not I have what it takes to come out on top, I never regret it. As Nelson Mandela said, “I never lose, I either win or learn.”
