I was incredibly fortunate to engage in a meaningful conversation with Jasmin A. Young, a scholar and professor whose work focuses on Black women and self-defense. It was an honor when Shelley Bruce asked to bring her team for a walkthrough of my work and then lead two self-defense classes for the community.
