Amanda Gorman Instagram – It was the honor of a lifetime to perform poetry at an inauguration that swore both President Biden and Vice President Harris into office, as they are both outstanding leaders who have dedicated their lives to public service. The miracle that allowed for me, a young, Black girl to be there was the democratic tradition of ushering in a new guard of voices, one that Biden and Harris have exemplified by exchanging the torch without ego, malice, or pride.
