25❤️ It was my birthday 2 days ago and I got to spend it on set doing what I love surrounded by another set formed family (who surprised me & dressed up as characters that I’ve played which was the most special thing). It was simple and peaceful and as I stumbled into bed that night after filming & had my partner visiting me on location to come back to, I couldn’t help but take a moment to feel emotional and oh so grateful for this beautiful little life that I get to live. I’ve heard for years from people that “your twenties are the scariest and best years of your life” and since I’m at the halfway point let me just say that statement couldn’t be more true. My goodness have I grown in this chapter- in silent, loud, big and small ways. Time flies, and while I’ve been on the journey of really digging into my past with a reflective heart, I also feel as if I’ve entered a chapter of fearlessness. Womanhood really is such a beautiful thing. I truly haven’t been more excited to turn an age.. I feel in my heart that life is most special when you let it do its thing, hang on tight and embrace each moment. Thank God for my family and the close crew of humans who are tucked in around me for their love, honesty, belief in me and most importantly for truly and genuinely seeing me for “me”. Thinking so very deeply for my home state Florida as #hurricanemilton approaches. I have a simple ask for social media… please be kind. While jokes are being made that people won’t evacuate (the highways are backed up with people trying to evacuate/get gas, as well as many families who simply can’t afford to evacuate.) and some jokes have stated that they are happy to see this happening…. families are trying to gather their loved ones, pets, some trying to figure out how to evacuate the elderly etc. Homes being left behind with no knowledge of what they will come back to. With the latest information being that some towns may be hit with at least 15 feet of flooding etc. We just watched homes and lives destroyed in the Carolina’s and Nashville.. an absolute tragedy and we are witnessing another one right before our eyes. This is peoples lives we are talking about. As it approaches it is gaining strength from the Gulf of Mexico and is targeted to hit Yucatan, a place where some just have the bare necessities. My heart goes out to everyone, and if I’m being completely honest I’m sick to my stomach in preparation for what we are about to witness. I’m just hoping hoping hoping for safety for all and I am asking for compassion from those who have the luxury of not experiencing this. I love my home state. I love people. And I’m truly heartbroken for what so many people are facing right now. Life is so short, please be human… please be kind.
