Bailee Madison Instagram – Thinking so very deeply for my home state Florida as #hurricanemilton approaches.
I have a simple ask for social media… please be kind. While jokes are being made that people won’t evacuate (the highways are backed up with people trying to evacuate/get gas, as well as many families who simply can’t afford to evacuate.) and some jokes have stated that they are happy to see this happening…. families are trying to gather their loved ones, pets, some trying to figure out how to evacuate the elderly etc. Homes being left behind with no knowledge of what they will come back to. With the latest information being that some towns may be hit with at least 15 feet of flooding etc.
We just watched homes and lives destroyed in the Carolina’s and Nashville.. an absolute tragedy and we are witnessing another one right before our eyes. This is peoples lives we are talking about. As it approaches it is gaining strength from the Gulf of Mexico and is targeted to hit Yucatan, a place where some just have the bare necessities.
My heart goes out to everyone, and if I’m being completely honest I’m sick to my stomach in preparation for what we are about to witness.
I’m just hoping hoping hoping for safety for all and I am asking for compassion from those who have the luxury of not experiencing this.
I love my home state. I love people. And I’m truly heartbroken for what so many people are facing right now. Life is so short, please be human… please be kind. | Posted on 08/Oct/2024 23:35:57
