Jennifer Gimenez Instagram – Today I had the opportunity to go to the prison, where my husband @timryandopeman started his journey in recovery and speak to the inmates at Sheridan Correctional Center. This place saved my husband’s life. For the last 5 1/2 years I’ve heard every single day different stories and moments of this magical place that has transformed Tim’s life.
We were able to bring our brother’s in recovery @jaymohr37 and @dangarcia40071982 which made it extra special. We spoke to about 1000 inmates for over 2 days. Myself , Jay and Cowboy Dan each brought our own perspective and journeys. I gotta say, though when Tim got up there and he spoke last, he commanded the respect of the inmates because he was once a former inmate & he turned his life around . It is always been a priority for Tim when Sheridan calls he responds. Honestly, I’m still flying high from the connection and purpose we all had together as a union, the inmates and us. What’s so beautiful is that each one of us walked in different paths in life , but all our emotions were the same, pain is pain, happy as happy, sad sad we were all able to connect on a spiritual level. And remember a lot of damn good people unfortunately make bad choices and decisions and end up in a place like Sheridan correctional center. Please don’t be the person that judges a book by its cover because a lot of people judged Tim and he’s out there changing up the motherfucking game. We would also like to thank the staff @westcarefoundation because without your organization, none of this would be possible. Westcare is the therapeutic community that is run within the Sheridan correctional center and numerous prisons nationwide.
