Both have their strengths and I love to utilise both to keep my workouts interesting.
High-Intensity 👉 Think HIIT workouts, fast-paced circuits or intense cardio. These push you to your limits, build endurance, and can even boost your metabolism for hours after. Plus… the post-HIIT endorphin rush is the BEST 🔥
Slow and controlled 👉 Think strength training, pilates, or barre. I love movement that’s controlled because it targets specific muscles and improves form, which is GREAT for reducing injury risk. This style is all about that mind-muscle connection, which will help you gain strength and stability while enhancing mobility.
I love the balance between the two! On days when I need a quick energy boost or stress relief, I go high-intensity.
When I’m focusing on form, strength, or just want a low-impact day, slow and controlled is my go-to.
Try blending both into your routine and see how it feels!
