I wait every year for the beloved experience that Camp Protégé holds . The magical space, the magical people and diving into an unplugged week that offers so much connection. ✨
This year the theme was celebrating vulnerability, returns to self and what really matters…..to strength, love & play. Experiencing a pain free body for the first time in a decade was almost unimaginable. Practicing sitting in pride and gratitude for the willingness to place myself back into dance in a new way with a new body… one that doesn’t have what it did but is now fueled by experience and the deep desire for self love. This is just the beginning of my curiosity of how I will move through this next chapter…. But I know my soul needs to DANCE!!!
In this video I have to point out @_shelbypatterson 🥹🥹🥹…. This is what it’s about… 3 knee surgeries later a profound return to dance and just beaming light and inspiration! YOU were one of my favorite things to witness this Camp. I love you so much 💛
Thank you to my special faculty, assistants, staff, family and all the dancers!!! And always need a shout out to @ktookey who is my beloved partner in this magical week. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am floating from inspiration and the grounding energy from this week!! ✨✨
