Tiya Sircar Instagram – I don’t know, guys. I don’t quite know how to function today. Or moving forward, for that matter. This is, no doubt, the darkest day in American politics in my lifetime. Worse than November 2016. Worse than Jan 6th. I am not okay.
Fool me once, shame on you, right? Fool me twice, shame on me? Today, I feel a deep sense of shame for this country I love so much. Re-electing this man is downright shameful.
If you’re feeling a similar sense of dread, despair, if you feel a deep sense of mourning, grieving— please know, you’re not alone.
I want to thank each and every one of you who fought like hell to save democracy. We did our level best. And one day, once we’ve licked our wounds and hopefully (somehow) mended our hearts, we’ll get back up and do it again.
