Through all the ups and downs nothing could prepare me for it all. The joy of the first ultrasound. Then the panic hits when you’re considered high risk. That strange feeling of first tiny kicks that felt like butterflies dancing upon your skin. Almost two years of an autoimmune disorder that made us wonder if we would ever meet you.⁣

The people that would show up and help abate the worries. The sleepless nights of creating pillow walls and icing numb arms. Toasty bagels and becoming an ice cream sandwich tester. I’m a foodie now, I guess. I want to remember all the highs and lows that have brought us so close to meeting you. The journey has been the most alive I’ve ever felt. We can’t wait, little one. ⁣
