Briana Evigan Instagram – 🌱 Abundant Village is flying high! Here’s what happened after just 6 weeks of our social impact work and play trip was completed. We are forever grateful for our incredible team of 30 and the 60 community volunteers, including our hero Phicancy, the principal of Xinyaketi Primary School, who came together to create a tremendous impact in the region.
✨ Together, we have:
– Refurbished 4 classrooms
– Turned on electricity
– Created 2 outdoor classrooms
– Planted over 2000 plants across 3 different types of gardens
– Established a walking labyrinth for mental health
– Painted a mural with our friend @painting_up_a_storm and all the kids from the school
– Built a hemp multipurpose center with a kitchen to eliminate smoke, a leading cause of death in Africa among women and children
🍽️ These gardens now provide more than one meal a day for the kids and meals for their families when they leave school.
