Imagine a force of nature wrapped in determination and draped with grace; that’s my amazingly beautiful wife, @brianaevigan . Three years ago, compelled by a vision of a world knit closely by compassion and action, she left her life behind and fell headfirst into Southern Africa. Her mission? To cultivate a seed of change through her non-profit, @abundant_village.mm . Dreams became plans, plans became actions, and actions became that change. Last week I joined Breezy and her team near the mighty Kruger National Park. There, on the fringes of wilderness, we witnessed a fusion of conservation and community. As they helped rebuild and transform a local primary school, it resonated as a testament to the symbiotic relationship of nurturing the next generation alongside nature. Partnering with under-resourced communities to help grow basic infrastructure is a fundamental necessity many of us take for granted. In the stark contrast of life’s lottery, a dollar here goes so, so far. As the organization grows, its roots deepen into the soils of global goodwill. Those supporters who make the journey to be a part of the work on the ground return to their four corners transformed by what they’ve done. They now carry with them the promise of a brighter tomorrow as ambassadors of hope. In Briana, I see not only the philanthropist or the visionary, but a beacon of relentless hope and love. In the core of humanity’s vast complexities, there lies a simple thought: when courage dances with compassion, the world changes. And change begins with a single, bold step. Thank you, Breezy. As for the countless steps yet to be taken, I can’t wait to do them all together. I love you.

@mwanizanzibar mamas have farmed seaweed in tune with the moon and the tides of the Indian Ocean. What I love is that they combine traditional knowledge with skilled artisanal techniques for all skin types. They’re carbon neutral, the majority of women seaweed farmers are freelance earning $30 a month and full time at work. @mwanizanzibar not only uplifts and supports women but helps them individually source funding opportunities, technical development, bringing quality and value to their own companies. As I said, I never post products but here’s my go because I really loved spending time with them, and my skin feels great.

🌱 Abundant Village is flying high! Here’s what happened after just 6 weeks of our social impact work and play trip was completed. We are forever grateful for our incredible team of 30 and the 60 community volunteers, including our hero Phicancy, the principal of Xinyaketi Primary School, who came together to create a tremendous impact in the region. ✨ Together, we have: – Refurbished 4 classrooms – Turned on electricity – Created 2 outdoor classrooms – Planted over 2000 plants across 3 different types of gardens – Established a walking labyrinth for mental health – Painted a mural with our friend @painting_up_a_storm and all the kids from the school – Built a hemp multipurpose center with a kitchen to eliminate smoke, a leading cause of death in Africa among women and children 🍽️ These gardens now provide more than one meal a day for the kids and meals for their families when they leave school. This is just the beginning.
