Michelle Obama Instagram – Today we’re excited to share that @JulieMehretu, a world renowned Ethiopian-American artist and activist, has created an incredible piece of art that will have a prominent place on the outside – and inside – of the Obama Presidential Center.
I think Julie’s installation, titled “Uprising of the Sun,” will be one of the most important aspects of the Center and an iconic contribution to the South Side and the city of Chicago. Michelle and I can’t wait for you to see it. | Posted on 09/Sep/2024 22:39:53
