Some random snapshots from 2024 before the year runs away from me! These aren’t from the ‘big’ days—no milestones, no grand plans—just little moments from regular days that somehow ended up meaning a lot. Isn’t it funny how those unplanned, ordinary days end up being the ones we smile about the most? Time really does fly, though. One moment it’s January, and the next, you’re scrambling to wrap up the year. Don’t worry, there’s more where this came from—consider this part one of my 2024 random day dump. What’s one ‘ordinary’ moment from your year that you keep coming back to?
Let’s talk about Garudasana—aka Eagle Pose. 🦅 It’s one of those poses that look tricky, but once you get it, it’s a game-changer. How to do it: Stand tall, then wrap one leg over the other like you’re twisting them into a knot. Do the same with your arms, crossing one over the other until your palms touch. Sit back a bit like you’re about to perch, keeping your balance and focus. Why it’s awesome: It helps with balance and concentration—perfect for those of us who are always on the go. Stretches out the shoulders and upper back, especially if you’ve been slouching over a screen all day. Strengthens your legs and opens up your hips. On the science side: It boosts blood circulation, which is great for reducing inflammation. Engages your core, which helps improve posture and stability. Activates your parasympathetic nervous system, promoting relaxation and stress relief. Give it a shot. Try adding it to your regular routine and hold for as long as you can. Your body will thank you later! 🙌 Who’s in?
Since you went away the days grow long And soon I’ll hear old winter’s songs But I miss you most of all, my shugs When autumn leaves start to fall

Oil pulling is an ancient Ayurvedic practice that’s taking over as a powerful natural oral detox. 🥥✨ Here’s everything you need to know about it: ✔ What it does: • Detoxifies your mouth by drawing out toxins and bacteria. • Improves oral hygiene and helps prevent cavities, plaque, and gingivitis. • Fights bad breath and promotes fresher breath naturally. • Whitening effect: Gently brightens teeth by reducing surface stains. • Supports overall health: Ayurveda believes oil pulling boosts general wellness by removing impurities from the body. ✔ How to do it: 1️⃣ Take 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, sesame oil, or sunflower oil (Ayurveda recommends sesame oil for its warming qualities). 2️⃣ Swish gently in your mouth for 5-10 minutes (don’t rush!). It’s not about force—let the oil work its magic. 3️⃣ Spit it out in the trash can (never in the sink! sending it down the drain can clog pipes). 4️⃣ Finish with brushing your teeth to get that fresh, clean feeling. ✔ Why it works: Oil pulling works because oils like coconut have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It pulls toxins from the body through the mouth, improving both dental and general health. 🌿 Tip: Try this in the morning before eating or drinking. Consistency is key—make it a part of your daily routine for best results! Ready to give it a try? By the Han River on a cold, starry, rainy night, and somehow we were all crazy enough to be there past 1am—literally the only ones around. The water was super chilled, @anish_shroff and I had to really hold back from jumping in, but some moments are best left to the imagination. Finally, the weather was right to wear my Sisterhood hoodie, and I mime-scribbled @nayana_shyam name in the sand since she couldn’t make it here with me. Just one of those nights that sticks with you. 💜

The world was moving, she was right there with it, and she was. The world was moving, she was floating above it and she was.

Inverting the perspective, grounding the mind. 🌿✨
Letting go after having done my part has been a profound journey, especially as someone who battles ADHD and a tendency to micromanage. I’ve realized that despite my best efforts, not everything is within my control, and that’s okay. Embracing this has been a significant shift for me. I’ve come a long way in understanding that trust and patience are essential for things to unfold as they should. While I’m still on this path, learning to let go has allowed me to find peace and balance, even if it’s a work in progress. It’s been a process of acknowledging that sometimes the best thing I can do is to relinquish control and trust in the unfolding journey.
