July is Disability Pride Month. Here’s what I feel and what I am working to learn, understand, and overcome ( and guess what it’s not my physical disability): My heart and my spirit are no different, they are untethered and wish to connect and be a part of life in the deepest way, but experience has left my brain and body wired to believe that I must fit certain criteria to participate in life. Often when I work to think outside of these constraints and dare to live and thrive in my own way I run up against barriers in the world around me, restrictive opinions or blocks to access that feed into the worst parts of me, all of those negative thoughts which tell me “I can’t “, “I’ll never”, “how stupid of me to try”, so I must recharge on a daily basis and work my way back into life again. It’s the end of one of those long days full of ups and downs, great joys and terrifying uncertainties, and I just want to tell all those out there brave enough to believe, strong enough to forge your own paths and creative enough to envision a life beyond the templates we’ve seen a thousand times before that dreams are possible BECAUSE they break “the rules” and “rules” are simply there to give others the illusion of safety and control. So unbind those wings, fly freely and live fully outside the lines and beyond the boundaries…ask others to draw new ones if they want to play too! Happy #DisabilityPrideMonth #DisabilityPride

These caddy bags are accessible and really useful to have if you have someone along with you, but I’m also able to use it on my own wheelchair.
