Zaria Instagram – I read a story the other day about @meghantrainor opening up about how she accidentally got too much Botox and it’s inhibited her ability to smile and her openness really touched me. It made me think about the distinct memory I have of being in psych class as a kid and learning how a physical smile could trick your brain into happiness. And how there’s so much pressure encoded in society for women to look a certain way. This pressure rearing its head from so many ugly angles ranging from age discrimination all the way to transphobia. Anyways, I do not personally know Meghan and I do not normally explain my poems.
