In this episode of the University of Travel I’ve talked about something we don’t talk about enough – the world is not as scary as we’re often told.
The media is filled with stories of conflict, danger, and division, but the truth is, there’s a whole lot of kindness and generosity that goes unnoticed.
From a free meal in Germany when I had no cash, to an auntie in Ladakh who offered me a place to stay when my flight got cancelled – these stories never make it to the headlines, but they’re just as real.
Isn’t it wild that we receive bad news from all corners of the globe on a tiny 7-inch screen? It’s no wonder we sometimes feel overwhelmed, like the world is falling apart. But in reality, we’re only seeing one side of the story. Travel has shown me that people are good, they care, and they show up when it matters most.
With that being said, it’s equally important to take precautions because we’re not taking any chances. Safety always comes first, but don’t let fear hold you back from discovering the good out there.
